CC Sabathia tosses a 120-pitch, CG, ShO against Bloomington. Mike Jacobs, making a rare start at 3B, doubled in two runs in the top of the first to make it 2-0. That would be all that CC would need as he goes the distance. In the 6th, Thome blasted a 2R HR to finish up the scoring, 4-0. Bloomington's best scoring opportunity came in the 8th, when I-Rod doubled to lead off the frame. But the next three Sunkings were put down in order.

defeated the Bloomington Sunkings 4 to 0 at Quinten's Yard.
 
Sabathia(5-5) gave Saint Gabriel a solid outing.  He allowed just 6 hits and 1
walk in 9 innings improving his ERA from 5.18 to 4.75.  Saint Gabriel had a
total of 11 hits for the game.
