| It looked like the Monkeys would pull out another 9th inning comback, but the Big Unit and K-Gregg got the Apostles out of the bases-loaded no-out jam. Gregg made it close in the bottom of the 10th as Ramirez grounded out with the bases loaded to end it. |

Left fielder Elijah Dukes left the yard and had 2 RBI at Ganzee Stadium where
the Saint Gabriel Apostles beat the Burmese Blood Monkeys in 10 innings 6 to
5.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Saint Gabriel won it in the
10th inning. David Eckstein led off and started the attack as he banged out
a single, and an error was also committed. Two outs later Mike Jacobs
stepped in and he was walked intentionally. Dukes then delivered a single
scoring a run. Joe Mauer was up next and he slapped a base-hit scoring the
final run of the inning. Burmese had 15 hits in the game while Saint Gabriel
had 12, but Saint Gabriel had the more timely hits.
Kevin Gregg(3-3) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Chris Capuano(0-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. The win by Saint
Gabriel was very good news as they had been 2-8 of late. Now their seasonal
record improves to 24-30. With this loss, Burmese has a 4-6 record of late,
27-27, worst in the division overall.
