Brandon Webb carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning as the phenomenal Denver
Strokers outscored the slumping Cleveland Buckeyes 5 to 0.
Webb(14-7) was very good in the win. He allowed only 2 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings. The right-handed Webb lost his chance for a no-hitter when Pat
Burrell singled with two outs in the 7th inning. Denver had 7 hits for the
game and Cleveland had 4.
The losing pitcher was Chien-Ming Wang(0-3). He gave up 5 runs and 5 hits in
6 and 1/3 innings.
