The Brighton Wampus Cats defeated the hapless Saint Gabriel Apostles by a
score of 5 to 2 at Landfish Park (08).
Saint Gabriel was unable to recover after Brighton went ahead in the 4th
inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was
provided by Daniel Murphy who electrified Landfish Park (08) when he lifted
one out of the park for a two run home run (his 1st of the season). Brighton
had a total of 7 hits for the game.
Edwin Jackson(1-6) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory.
Matt Capps was credited with his 7th save. Carlos Zambrano(10-10) was given
the loss.
