Adam Lind connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the seemingly
unstoppable Saint Gabriel Apostles defeated the Jacksonville Storm Chasers in
13 innings 6 to 2 at The SallyPort.
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Saint Gabriel came out
on top in the 13th inning. The critical plate appearance was by Lind who
quieted the crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Saint Gabriel
out-hit Jacksonville for the game, 11 hits to 8.
The win went to Pat Neshek(2-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Jack
Taschner(2-4) ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 1 hit and no
walks in 2 innings.
