The West Huron Whitecaps came roaring back in the top of the ninth to spoil
the anticipated celebration of the hometown fans. The final score,, was 2 to
1.
West Huron had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs.
Gerardo Parra led off and started the rally when he reached on an error.
After an out was recorded, David Dejesus stepped in and he blasted a two-run
home run. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
The victory went to Erik Bedard(1-0) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Jason Bulger(0-2) in relief. 'We just kept
swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Parra said. 'If you just keep trying
good things can happen!'
