The West Huron Whitecaps had an easy time of it at The Snake Pit (08)
defeating the Ridgecrest Rattlers by a score of 8 to 1.
 
The Ridgecrest fans didn't appreciate the big day Rajai Davis had.  He doubled
which plated a run in the 3rd inning, tripled in the 7th inning and ripped a
solo home run in the 9th inning.  West Huron finished with 9 hits in the
victory.  
 
The victory was credited to Justin Verlander(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing
1 run. Yovani Gallardo(0-1) ended up with the loss.  He had trouble throwing
strikes and issued 5 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
