Shortstop Rafael Furcal lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and Mike Pelfrey
went 6 strong innings at The Snake Pit (08) as the Ridgecrest Rattlers beat
the West Huron Whitecaps 4 to 0.
 
The game started off with Ridgecrest taking the lead in the first scoring a
single run.  That early run support was enough for Pelfrey(1-0) and
Ridgecrest.  Ridgecrest out-hit West Huron for the game, 8 hits to 4.
 
Pelfrey got help from Jeremy Affeldt who was credited with his 1st save. David
Price(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He pitched 6 innings giving up 5 hits
and 2 walks.
