At Citifield (09), the Scarlett faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel.  Jeff Niemann(2-3) finally bested his Scarlett counterpart,
Brad Penny(1-3), by the score of 1 to 0.
 
West Huron started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first scoring a single run.  That was all the offense they were to need.
Scarlett had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Fernando Rodney earned his 1st save.  Penny absorbed the loss.  He surrendered
3 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.  Jeff Shaver was beaming after the game,
'Not only were we making good contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to
have 'eyes'! I just love winning these tight ones! It was just our evening -
no doubt about it!'
