Jose Reyes had 2 base hits at The Dam (04) where the Cleveland Buckeyes beat
the Ottawa Beavers by the score of 5 to 3.
Cleveland came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2
runs. Carlos Ruiz got things going when he drew a walk. After another out,
Seth Smith followed, but he was set down on strikes. Reyes then doubled, and
an error was also committed. Kelly Johnson got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Although they lost, Ottawa did out-hit
Cleveland 11 to 7.
Chien-Ming Wang(2-4) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Wang was
helped out by Santiago Casilla who recorded his 2nd save. Taylor
Buchholz(4-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was the victim of a
defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Wang said.
