The lifeless West Huron Whitecaps pitchers essentially took the day off at
Launching Pad (08) as the Denver Strokers offense erupted for 13 runs while
Brandon Webb(16-7), with relief help from Francisco Cordero, held West Huron
to 1 run.

Denver started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. That early run support was enough
for Webb and Denver. Denver had 14 hits for the game and West Huron had 7.

Vicente Padilla(2-3) took the loss. He struggled with his control issuing 11
walks in 8 innings. Denver continued their winning ways, with their streak
now at 6 games and counting. 'We've really come alive lately,' Richard
Grossman said. 'We won some tough games and I feel real good about this
ballclub right now, and hopefully we'll continue the roll we're on.'
