The Homer Salty Dogs defeated the ice-cold West Huron Whitecaps by a score of
5 to 2 at Fishermans Mem (08).

Homer took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring one
runner utilizing 3 base hits. Brandon Phillips doubled. After an out was
recorded, Khalil Greene came up and he banged out a single. Jacoby Ellsbury
then tripled. Homer banged out 11 hits on the night.

Zack Greinke(12-7) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Greinke
got help from Jonathan Broxton who was credited with his 18th save. Tim
Redding(6-14) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6
innings of work.
