Shortstop Hanley Ramirez hit 2 doubles and had 4 RBI at GMJ Memorial (07) as
the Saint Gabriel Apostles embarrassed the West Huron Whitecaps by the
lopsided score of 15 to 4.
 
Ramirez provided much of the offense.  He doubled plating a run in the 1st
inning, singled scoring a run in the 4th inning and doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 5th inning.  Saint Gabriel kept the scorekeepers busy in
the 4th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 3 hits and the 5th inning which
saw them plate 5 runs on 6 hits.  Saint Gabriel had 16 hits for the game and
West Huron had 10.  
 
Randy Johnson(3-3) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Tim
Redding(1-6) was the loser.  He allowed 14 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
