Carlos Pena had 4 hits at Citizens Bank (08) as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs
beat the West Huron Whitecaps in 13 innings by the count of 6 to 5.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Lehigh Valley won it in
the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Josh Hamilton ripped a solo home
run (his 10th of the season) making Lehigh Valley victorious to the delight
of the the home town crowd. Lehigh Valley totaled 17 hits on the night.

The winning pitcher was Ryan Madson(1-3) who allowed no runs in 3 and 2/3
innings. The losing pitcher was Joe Smith(1-1) in relief. He surrendered 1
hit and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.


this was a tough loss especially when i am trying to sweep there were 32 hits
between the 2 teams at least i know the caps are showing signs of life
