where the West Huron Whitecaps beat the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs by the score
of 6 to 1.
 
West Huron promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating an
isolated run.  West Huron banged out 12 hits on the night.  
 
The win was credited to Javier Vazquez(1-5) who went 7 innings allowing 1 run.
Johan Santana(1-6) was tagged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10
hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.  
 
West Huron, who had been struggling lately, moved their record to 12-22.  They
are now 1-9 in their last ten games.  With the loss, the Lehigh Valley
ballclub's record is 15-22.
