In a two run game the Lebanon Lugnuts got by the ice-cold Saint Gabriel
Apostles by the score of 7 to 5.

In the 4th inning Lebanon scored 3 runs when they had 5 base hits. Justin
Morneau started the inning off right when he slapped a base-hit. Ben
Francisco stepped into the batter's box and he stroked a one-base hit. Yunel
Escobar then banged out a single. John McDonald followed and he grounded
into a double play. Chris Young stepped into the box and laced a base-hit.
Clayton Kershaw then threw a high and inside pitch that got by the catcher;
it was ruled a passed ball. Joe Mauer stepped up next and he stroked a
single. Lebanon managed 12 hits in their victory.

The win went to Derek Lowe(4-2) who allowed 4 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Lowe
got help from Dan Wheeler who earned his 4th save. Kershaw(0-3) was the
losing pitcher. Lebanon scored big getting 7 runs off him in 5 and 1/3
innings.

'He gutted it out' Greg Smith said of Lowe. 'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'
