In a close game it was the Normandy Lake Landsharks 6, the hapless West Huron
Whitecaps 4 at Sundrop Stadium (08).
 
Normandy Lake took the lead for good in the 6th inning as they scored 2 runs
on 1 base hits.  West Huron had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
 
Paul Maholm(10-8) went 8 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory.
Hong-Chih Kuo earned the save, his 10th.  Vicente Padilla(4-5) was the losing
pitcher.  
 
'He gutted it out' Barry Gannon said of Maholm.  'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'
