28,837 fans watched an exciting game at Landfish Park (08). The Brighton
Wampus Cats topped the woeful Cleveland Buckeyes by the slimmest of margins,
3 to 2.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Brighton was victorious in the
10th inning. Eric Chavez drew a walk. Shin-Soo Choo was the next batter,
but he struck out. One out later, Richie Sexson stepped in and he doubled.
Hunter Pence was up next and he was walked intentionally to load the bases.
Franklin Gutierrez stepped into the box and was hit by a pitch making
Brighton the winners and sending the 28,837 fans home happy. Brighton had
only 5 hits for the game.

Joba Chamberlain(6-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Erik Bedard(5-3) took the loss. He allowed just 3 runs and 4 hits
in 9 and 1/3 innings.
