Ubaldo Jimenez reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts at Sundrop Stadium (08)
where the Normandy Lake Landsharks beat the West Huron Whitecaps 3 to
2.
 
Jimenez(7-9) was in control of the game from the outset.  He surrendered only
5 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 5.17 to 4.96.  West
Huron had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Jose Contreras(3-9) ended up with the loss.  Jeff Shaver was upset after the
game.  'I don't like to complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?',
he said.  'Maybe they ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's
printed in the rule book.'
