state of the whitecaps for 2009

Gents

Here is a crappy synopsis of the year gone by.

with 3 games left in the season the caps record stands at 62-97.
BA .270 considering what division i play in that's pretty good.led by g.anderson at
340. considering in 2008 he only batted .293 a 47 point jump in stats.
ERA 4.96 pretty bad considering the bullpen at the beginning of the yr was good,
but the wheels fell off by starting 9-21 and the bullpen definitely faltered.
only bright spot is my favorite j.verlander. 15 wins is pretty much it. i do look to rebound in 2010.

for 2010

i have free agants that i have to try and sign or let go. i have had a few offers on figgins
vasquez and r.tejada. those 3 are staying put along with crawford. verlander should be just be unbelievable for 2010, i cant wait to see his card cuz it should be a doozy. those 269 k's look mighty good. both figgy and carl had above board seasons and i should look to steal quite a bit this next yr. geez i almost forgot about vasquez, i made this quote in December of 2008,"West Huron also acquired J.Vasquez from the Beavers and immediately the Caps have a #2 starter and with him going to Atlanta as well,he had to get away from that moron O.Guillen he should flourish. It gives the Caps another 200 inning SP."

and boy did he ever flourish 2.87 ERA 238 k's and 1.07 whip glad he got traded.
boy a # 1 and 2 starter for the coming yr.dang this id going to be good.
and the draft isnt as deep as in past yrs. sure i ahve holes to fill but i like my chances.....

just my 3 and a 1/2 cents
