Tom Gorzelanny racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts at The Kennel
(03) as the Carbondale Dog Catchers beat the Normandy Lake Landsharks 3 to
1.
 
Gorzelanny(2-2) gave Carbondale a solid outing.  He didn't give up much, just
7 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.  Neither team managed to score after the 3rd
inning.  
 
Bronson Arroyo(6-17) took the loss.  He surrendered 3 runs and 6 hits in 5
innings.  John Smith was asked about the performance of Gorzelanny, 'He had
his good stuff out there tonight.  The fans really get into it when the
strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more
adrenalin.'
