In a good matchup it was the West Huron Whitecaps 5, the Oak Park Otters 3 at
The Otterdome (09).

Oak Park was unable to recover after West Huron went ahead in the 7th inning
when they scored 2 runs on 2 hits. The game was a scoreless duel until the
7th inning.

Justin Verlander(7-4) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 and 2/3
innings. Verlander got help from Fernando Rodney who earned his 11th save.
Ross Ohlendorf(1-6) absorbed the loss. He surrendered only 1 run and 1 hit
in 6 innings.
