Justin Verlander pitched 9 strong innings at The Snake Pit (08) as the West
Huron Whitecaps, running on all cylinders, ripped the Ridgecrest Rattlers by
a large 11 to 0 margin.
 
The Ridgecrest fans didn't appreciate the big day David Dejesus had.  He
blasted a two-run home run in the 6th inning and slapped a one-base hit
plating two runs in the 9th inning.  West Huron had 11 hits for the night.
 
Verlander(5-4) went the distance for the shutout. Yovani Gallardo(4-9) was hit
with the loss.  He gave up 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings of work.
