Miguel Olivo blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Justin Verlander dominated
striking out 12 San Antonio batters as the West Huron Whitecaps outscored the
San Antonio Alamos 7 to 5.
The San Antonio fans didn't appreciate the big day Olivo had. He ripped a
solo home run in the 2nd inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run
in the 6th inning. West Huron ended up with 11 hits for the game while San
Antonio had 7.
Verlander(8-4) went 8 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Peter Moylan earned
the save, his 2nd. Ubaldo Jimenez(5-9) was the loser. He allowed 3 homeruns
in 9 innings of work.
'He was really impressive today,' Jimenez said of his counterpart. 'Our guys
