Third baseman Jorge Cantu connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the
Homer Salty Dogs defeated the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs by the score of 7 to 3
at Fishermans Mem (08).

In the bottom of the 3rd inning Homer scored 5 runs with the help of 6 hits.
That scoring would be all that was needed. Homer ended up with 12 hits for
the game while Lehigh Valley had 7.

The victory went to Joe Blanton(3-8) who went 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Blanton got relief help from Rafael Soriano who gained credit for his
19th save. Braden Looper(3-10) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked
around, surrendering 5 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.

The win by Homer is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in recent
days. Their record now stands at 35-45 - only 2-8 in their last ten games.
With the loss, Lehigh Valley has a record of 5-5 lately, 37-49 overall.
