First baseman Lyle Overbay went deep and had 3 RBI as the Lehigh Valley Iron
Pigs defeated the Homer Salty Dogs by a score of 5 to 3 at Coca-Cola Park
(09).

Lehigh Valley scored 4 runs in the 4th inning with the help of 4 hits. The
highlight belonged to Overbay who brought the crowd to their feet when he
smacked a three-run homer. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as
neither team was able to score again.

The victory went to Braden Looper(4-10) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 3
runs. Scott Schoeneweis earned the save, his 1st. John Maine(4-6) was given
the loss. His biggest problem was control as he allowed 8 walks in 5
innings.
