Center fielder Skip Schumaker had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Scott Baker mowed down
10 Scarlett batters as the Denver Strokers beat the Scarlett Letters by a
score of 11 to 3.

The Denver fans enjoyed the offense provided by Schumaker. He doubled which
plated a run in the 1st inning, doubled bringing in two baserunners in the
3rd inning, doubled which scored a run in the 4th inning and doubled in the
6th inning. Denver rapped out 17 hits for the night.

The victory went to Baker(8-7) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Ricky
Nolasco(6-6) was hit with the loss. He was touched for 11 hits and 2 walks
in 6 innings.

Baker was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there.
The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the victory
and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
